Jen joined HSE with one goal in mind: to do meaningful work that makes a real difference. Her love for caregiving was rooted early in life through her close relationship with her granny—someone she remembers as fun, wise, and endlessly nurturing. From canning and baking to playing games and foraging, Jen learned from a young age how much connection and joy can come from spending time with older generations.

Before joining HSE, Jen spent 15 years managing large-scale kitchen operations with teams of up to 150 people. As a Red Seal Chef and hands-on leader, she took pride in training new staff and mentoring culinary students—building her skills in organization, leadership, and support. At HSE, those same strengths shine through. She’s known for her big-picture thinking, structured approach, and deep compassion for both her team and the families they serve.

What Jen loves most about her role is knowing that every day brings the chance to support someone in need. She hopes families feel truly heard, cared for, and confident that they’re not alone. Whether it’s stepping in to help during a crisis or guiding caregivers toward peace of mind, her focus is always on providing care with compassion.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys cooking, travelling, and playing card or board games with her wife. And while she may be calm and grounded at the office, you might be surprised to learn she has 20 tattoos! Her favourite life motto? “All you need is love.”
